respraying

Hello, can anyone suggest a cheap respray place in the area of Bristol, Bath, Salisbury, Southampton? Semi-professional or even good DIY one would be OK. Thanks!

Why not have a go yourself? Lots of advice on here for prep. It depends how brave you are! Or, to keep the cost down do the bodywork/prep yourself, and find somebody to put on the top coat.

Thanks for advice! I know that may sound ridiculous but do you think paint spray from Halfords will do? Or is it necessary to buy a compressor?

Also, what is the best source on prep work? Should all paint be removed, or it is OK just to clean it properly and may be sand slightly so new paint will stick?

I wouldn't do a full repspray with spray cans. They are meant for small areas only, and none of the small areas will match each other. What you wil spend on a good enough compressor would be better spent on a top coat at a body shop. Do the prep work yourself and keep the cost down.
