Transit ST220.... ?

Postby Pinto » Thu Oct 15, 2015 10:33 pm

Hey folks :) long time , no see...

Been away from the transit fold for quite a while since I sold My Old Smiley Tourneo, but its looking like I might be making a return with a new (for me, anyway) 2003 Mk6 Tourneo 2.0 TDDi - certainly missed the old beasts ( and their raw practicality  )

My new steed is suffering from nearly 220K miles tho and it's developing diesel chuff quite nicely so an engine change would be on the cards in short order - but it got me thinking....

The path of a V6 transit conversion is a long established and oft trodden one it seems - but being a FWD base, the cossie option isnt on the cards...soo... has ANYONE ever done (or looked) at fitting the FWD v6 setup (engine/box) from a mondogeo - either the ST200 or ST220 setup ? is it even possible ?

Thoughts ?

See you around folks :)

Anything a possible if you try hard enough
just follow the onscreen instructions and it's fairly idiot proof...trouble is, we keep producing better idiots
