the only hope is wheel adpotors which are iilegill or the way i hope to go in a redrill on the hups and alxes to a smaller stud patten and get the van de rated and but 4x4 rims on as cars rims wont pass as they are not stong engough.
my self and madmax are memders of the v.c.v (van council of victoria)

I was talking to a lady that has a mk6 with 20" wheels about how she got them to fit her van

she said it was easy and done in under an hour, she went to Tempe Tyres

What did they do then?

She didnt go into detail but there was no adaptors so im guessing tempe just drilled them to suit, I should of got some pics
these are the wheels

I saw them about fitting 17" on a mk2 escort as no one stocks big wheels to suit a rwd 108 pcd in aus, They just said pick the wheel you like and we will drill them out to suit, done the same with my mk4 cortina
Yeah i know its big green and rusty so move your Porsche before i bash it with 460 cubes of fords finest cast iron

I have already been in contact with Tempe tyres and they have told me that they can't drill any transit wheels. Tempe were the first place I went too. They asked for PCD on wheels and they have no hubs big enough to suit 5 or 6 stud transits because transit 5 stud is 160pcd with 48 pos offset amd 6 stud is 180pcd with 70 pos offset and a bore of 138. Not sure about 2000 on models as I am chasing wheels for my 1997 VG Transit.

Did anyone in Australia ever get anywhere finding wider steel rims or raw barrels for the 16" Transit wheels?
I went down that rabbit hole just now and got nowhere. "We used to" and "no longer manufacturing here" or "load rating is not available" etc.
The rims have an inner diameter of 360mm where the centres are welded in. That dimension appears to be only used on light trucks. 347 or 348mm ID rim barrels are available, but only for lower vehicle weights and obviously don't fit over Transit hubs anyway.....
Any other ideas?
Cheers,
Joe
