Well then to somebody who has the AUX IN fitted as standard; Please post a photo of the fitting so we know how Ford places them.

Now that is what I need. Any change you can figure out what partnumber is connected to that?

@cha10; Thx for the photo. Could be an option. I just don't want to drill in the dash.

Installed an old 6000CD unit from Jan 2004 as a temporary radio and decided to fit the aux in as found in the Fiesta / Fusion models.
Was pointed to the fact that the space for a 12V socket at the passenger side would be a great place for it.

So I took out the dummy plastic disk. The way it is kept in place is by two plastic clips. Unfortunately these clips are a bit big.

So if I drill a hole for the AUX IN the whole construction of the clips will go. So then the question; How do I make the newly constructed piece stay in the socket?

OK, I've just popped the socket out and it looks like (although mine's grey) the bit on the right in your pic. But it has a surround fitted to it, which is black. The only numbers I can see are 3S7T and 19A164-AB.
