Mk 2 wide arches???

Postby Beefy » Thu Mar 06, 2008 1:09 am

Does anyone have... know of.... of want to sell a set of rear wide arches?
as im going big on the back and 'lil on the front.....
wheels poke out about 3/4" each side of the extremity of the arch....
as far as im aware this is MOT failing material and piggy pulling food.. unless someone else knows more????

im all excited with my extreeeeem chrome wheels but dont want mr fuzz being upset.

if no-one can help, im either going to plead ignorance and rub some shinns off or try to somehow make my own....

hi, my wheels where like that on my transit last year and it passed a m.o.t give it a try you could put yopur old wheels on for the m.o.t then put those ones back on after i would if that was the case. but as i said mine where the same and passed. you could try croydon race and rally down in south norwood they are in portland rd i cant remember there phone number tho sorry. or you could make sone from some big trailer arche's you can get them in lots of size's. good luck.
ps
be carfull the arch dont cut the tyre on the bumps check for room..
I can make a trailer out of that!!

cheers for that, cutting the tyre shouldnt be a prob as im jacking up the rear anyway, the pics are a bit crap but the tyre is already touching the arch at standard height :) so no option other than pushing it up a bit.

I would have thought you could cut'n'shut some Mk 1 Escort bubble/forrest arches,
I guess they are still available from Demon Tweeks & the like, or ...........
The TATA pickup has black 'plastic' front wheel arch extensions, have a look at a pair of those.

The old trick is to just use trailer arches cut in half and blended on.
