advice as to what alloy wheels 6 stud

Hi I just purchased a brand new LWB transit with high roof and am in the process if customising this. I am having some dramas getting good advice as to what alloy wheels I can and can't get. You guys seem to know the in's and out's. Where is the best place for me to look at getting some wheels? I am in Sydney and have had heaps of people tell me there is nothing on the market for me to get? I find this hard to believe. Keep in mind I know nothing about wheels all I know is I have 5.5" x 16" on and want to get the best rims possible for the transit.

this is the only set that i know of in the world and they wont even make a replacement ore if i ever damage it.

I am looking at getting some One piece Alloy 6 stud Ansen Sprint Slot mags custom made by American Racing for my MK5, or some copies computer lathed! Was looking at Ford F250 wheels etc. as they do duallie chrome rims for them & they r loadbearing!!!!

It gives you the bore, PCD and stud patterns of the US light trucks & pickups out there. Transit mk5 6 stud is about 138mm (5.43") centre bore and 180mm (7.08") PCD. Most bore sizes on US light trucks and pickups are smaller, so they can be engineered. However with the number of studs involved on those US wheels, you are probably looking at a copied custom Hub, rather than adaptors.

I only mention the US pickups in the link because their equivalant custom & OEM alloys are cheap & plentiful on Ebay.com, even when considering including shipping to Oz! I came to the conclusion it would be easier just to change the whole rear axle, and you'd get a lsd diff that could handle the torque of a 300BHp V8 in the bargain!! But then shipping an axle is a whole new expense!!

Probably a completely useless answer to you but if you work something out or have found something else let us know!!!
