crew seats in SWB mhr.

have just started to put seats in the back tonight.

ive put waxgrease on floor, laid spaceblanket then put a new floor on top of that to get to same level as front cab.

ive filled front above cab with insulation then will extend the cieling to back of new bulkhead and cover with some board.

i'll take plenty of pics tomorrow.


i dont know what material to use for boarding
MDF seems quite heavy, compared to ply. i now its not much weight but the less the better.
or i was thinking of using styrene board.

ive lagged the side door and the opposite side below where the glass will be going.

ive got 2 mondeo ST seats, and a racing bucket seat to fix to a frame 150mm of the floor, then will fix this frame to van with maybe soom quick release type fixings, so the seats can be removed easily.

i remember seeing a rear plastic step cover somewhere before so will get one off them for side door opening.

I'd say ply was the best all rounder, though judging on the small piece I bought at wickes (i did mine in ply, but with used bits I'd picked up here and there), it's not cheap, may be more econoimcal in large sheet wholesale

mine has got space blanket then ply and then finised off with that cord carpet ,well insulated and no condensation,mind you i did'nt do it ,i bought the van like that ,it was converted by clarkes of doncaster,and they have done a top job
