slidding door clearance

I am currently trying to work out the best way of spacing the the side loading door on my mk5 in order for it to clear the new arches that in putting on my van (transit connects).

If anyone has already done this the advice would be gladly welcome.

how about the door fixing sliders off a connect,if they would fit they'd give the clearance

How much extra clearance do you need? Would sticking some shims behind the middle rail, so the door opens at a slight angle, do it?

missed this before - you can just pack out the runner but to do it right you need to mod the roller bit that fits in the runner - i think the roy wood van has had it done - its not easy as it goes round the corner if you simply pack ip out it'll push the door too far forward

I would pack the rail out slightly all along its length (depending on how much clearance you need...)
