Getting MP3s into Traffic 3000

Postby WanganuiLad » Tue Aug 03, 2010 3:14 am

Hi Guys,
My smilie banana 2000 has the glorious Traffic 3000 stereo.
I wonder if anyone has found a way to get an MP3 line in there without resorting to the FM or cassette adapter ?

cheers for any clues :)

buy a stereo with an MP3 line in, or USB port, or one that plays MP3 CD's .... ;)

Thanks mikethebike and demi
I was eyeing those things up...either that or there is an FM jobbie that is part of a cig lighter plug.
Its a tossup between having the cassette motor grinding away vs crap signal quality with FM

VBrick you are of course right but I'm trying for the cheapo route it seems :D

cheers

I find the cassette adaptors are the best way, after all when was the last time you put a cassette in it? if you're not going to change to a cd player why not make use of that redundant hole in your stereo?

The hole isn't redundant :)
But if I can get my last cassette onto MP3 maybe it will be :)

Was surprised how cheap new stereos with usb and sd slots are...
if I go the adapter route I need to get an MP3 player but I could use that in the workshop too.
