Dont mess about welding wheels, or if somebody does them for you I bet there will be some kind of disclaimer. I have seen many an @rsehole who said they could weld and I would not let them weld a garden gate, let alone something like a wheel. A weld is only as strong as its weakest point and you wont find out until the weld fails. Trust me I know what I am talking about its been my job for the last 20 odd years. Apprenticeship through to senior inspector, oil, gas & nuclear. I have seen loads of pics on here of what people call welding and its scary to say the least.

robx is right i was a self taught welder/fabricator for ten years and built custom chopper frame but no way would i have cut n welded wheels for anyone...ida left that to companys with public liabilety insurance!!

i'd have thought welding a bike frame is as if not more critical than some wheels :lol:

yeahbut....most custards dont actually go anywhere other than in the pages of back street weirdo's so it dont really matter :lol: :mrgreen:
