single seats in a transit

Postby jay » Mon Aug 14, 2006 2:43 pm

this is how i fitted single seats to my transit
firstly select the seat you want to use.then remove the original seat from the van
now to do the single seat in the passenger side you need a spare drivers side seat height riser and forward/backward adjuster.
then turn the original seat upside down and remove the seat from the seat riser bit if the transit seat is no good as mine was then if you wanted to you can cut the seat as it will make the seat higher Image

then get the seat you want i have used a sierra lx one then get some box section i used 1" and weld it to the seat riser bit and then mount that to the seat if you drill the box section to the seat you can remove the seat for another one later if you want to change them Image Image
then all you need to do is to bolt the adjuster bit into the van on the floor there are torx bolts already there that the adjuster will bolt into bolt any spare bolts into the floor in any holes you dont need.Imagethen bolt the seat onto the adjuster and it should then be compleate for a nice single seat Image
