hi
ive just realised i have a v8 with mechanical fuel injection sat in an old classic merc i bought about 6 years ago for the engine but never got round to using it in anything .dont know if it will be any good now or not . i parked it up in my mates field and its sat there since. untill i just remembered about it now. if the engine is ok. would that be any good for my conversion cant remember if it was the small block type or big block type
fairley sure its large
any ideas think it was a 1976 350 se

im sure its the 350 se but its been that long now i could be wrong its definately got the mechanical fuel injection. ill have to nip down there see what sort of state its in see if the engine is still salvagable and take things from there i suppose .

The Merc MI is notorious for not liking to be stood, best advice I can give you is to take the top plate off the system and give it a blast with a can of carb cleaner, then drop some redex or similar in it too.
