me and my brither have both spent countless hours looking into this and trying stuff out, i think in the end we decided a total rewire of the dashboard was required and a new ecu unit or something. im not too hot on electricals but still.

Im sure it's now been done, but it involved swapping the whole dash loom :?:
Think it was winterheating that done it.

im only looking the later mk6 mine has a normal dial instead of the digital readout, so the pre 2005 or or after 2001, so does anyone know if this fits?

What do you mean, I don't understand, The digital clocks from a late MK6 cannot be fitted to an early MK6 unless you change the ECU Loom, fuel pump etc etc

Surely you don't need to change the pump??

Yes to fit the clocks with the digital display and rev counter to an older van you need to change the pump, the PCM and most of the cab and engine loom
