These seem to be "common practice" in the UK, so I thougth this might be the right place to ask around a bit.
Swapping a 2.0 catalyst EFI Pinto to a Cossie YB, what are the major issues that are not a staight fit, or bolt-on?
I am an automotive electrician, and been working on cars for soon 20 years, so I have no trouble with wirings, fabrications etc, but would be interested in such things like:
-will the Transit engine compartment take the Cossie intake manifold as is?
-the exhaust side looks spacious in the engine compartment, but will there be other clearance problems?
-will the standard Pinto engine mounts be good, or too slacky?
-any suggestions for the rear axle, is there a good transit option or should I replace maybe for a USA Ford one?
-anything else to keep in mind?
These are not YB specific issues, but has anyone got any good suggestions on brake/suspension upgrades/mods?
Thanks very much in advance guys, with greetings from Finland!!
