24v Cossie into a Mk 3, problems with engine mount vs. oil

Postby dipstick » Wed Oct 18, 2006 3:26 pm

can anyone who has put a 24v into a Transit answer this for me please....?

On the right hand side of the motor, if you are in the 'drivers' seat is an oil pipe that returns oil to the sump from the head, however .......
....... when fiting the rhs engine mount (from a Mk3 Ambulance) the back of the engine mount fouls this oil pipe! :(

How did you get round this, grind away the engine mount, or reroute the oil pipe some how?

many thanks in advance.. :)

Re-route the pipe, its going to be easyer than doing anything with the engine mount.

or, put a rubber pipe joiner into it, thats how its done on my 24v sierra
