Mk5 grille ideas/query?.

Hi all, I was having thoughts about a modified grille but it all depends on a couple of factors a, is the mk5 grille made of a thermoplastic or thermoset material and b, is it weldable using filler rods cut from a second grille??? Ideally Id like to graft parts of two grilles. Oh and just to clarify im talking about the wraparound panel not the slatted centre infill TIA for any comments.

most of the ones i've seen are mk4 grills modded this is what i've got planned for mine - just in blue

cant say ive had any results modding but .... aly angle, self tapping #3 screws and some hot glue have kept it in one peace since crimbo AlanN would be proud of me
