help with alien vs. predator van

Just woundring... why should 440 bhp in a 3.0 engine be a problem? I`m not familiar with the essex engine. But have buildt 2.0 ohc engiens to Sierra and Taunus with 280 bhp. Also buildt a BDA 2.0 with 340 bhp. It`s just a mather of how mutch money you are willing to spend. 440 bhp in a 3.0 engien should not be a probem at all. If you have the money for it... Also know about cars here in Norway with 2.0 engines who has 550 and more bhp. I`m not full of s**t either. You can find many of these cars here:

I`m planing for 150-180 bhp in the 2.5 Diesel I have now, if I can afford it... cause it will cost me about 4000£ And my Transit have alredy now costed me about 3000£ Right now it`s just an original 85 bhp with powerfilter and a custom made exhaust system. But planing for a engine tuneup next spring. Hope I will have it ready for "Gatebil" summer 2011. Gatebil = Street car in Norwegian. But I`m going there this summer too. Even thoug my Transit is not ready for race. Just have to show it to other car lovers to get some feedback. Have some pics of it in the members gallery for those who are interested. It`s the: Norwegian 89 Transit Diesel converted to 95 TD engine+++

Because it was a bog standard engine with over 100000 miles on the clock. They aren't very strong engines in the first place, so it really wouldn't matter how much money you threw at it.

Too bad... I`ll have to make one then. Because it`s absolutly beautiful. That would given me just the race look I want.

As Mike says, they have a mass of torque at low revs, but its a very old design, it will just push it beyond its limits, Rover V8, V6 cologne cossie or YB have all been done with lots of BHP, but again loads ££££££. I'm sure some V12's have been done too in the past, but I'm waiting for someone to fit a nice Nissan lump in

Get youre point... but Nissan engine in a Ford??? I prefere to keep it a Ford! But a Mustang V8 would be fun... Or an BDA should also give good preformance. (Love the good old BDA`s.) But for now I want to keep mine with a diesel. Never done mutch diesel tuning before. So I want to try it out. My goal is 150-180 bhp.

No... it was my plan at first to keep my Transit original. But now it has a 95 model TD engine with ecu. Pics of the rebuild in the members galley. But I think I will use the old Di engine block when I build a new engine for it. it has only 152 000 km. So I think it will be a good block after I have done som machine work on it...
