conversion mk6 to mk7

Postby juggy » Fri Mar 30, 2012 12:22 am

I am wanting to convert my mk6 front end to mk7 i have been told i need inner wings and to extend or shorten the chasis legs but am nt sure as this is what i have been told but on ringing the breakers yard to enquire about the front end they have advised that i dnt need to buy inner wings or extend/shorten the chasis legs which do i have to do? i have been told simply to shave down the existing inner wings to accomidate the new panels. Anyone have any tips on what i need to do and how i need to do it?

this is my before and after pics i started my front end conversion but sods law my work started coming in before i could completely finish the truck, i completed the front end conversion and got it painted and pearled but it still needs buffing and the back around the bed needs painting to give it the finished look will be uploading more pics when its 100% finished and will hopefully be bringing my transit to some shows soon. i still need to buy new wing mirrows and some new shape wheels as they are slightly different and will hopefully be doin the interior and dash board conversion soon.
this transit is painted in a one off custom canary yellow pearl which i created myself as it my company colours and ford dont make an st yellow so this is my own take on it, thanks.
