these came from Vass.

5 years ago they had 4500 of them but now they only have a couple dozen left. for £20 + vat each you can rummage through as i did and see what you find. once these are gone you'll have to wait for the MOD to give up some more or pay for new ones at £211 each plus delivery from Craddocks :!:

the £40 tyre packages are also plus vat and are really dog-eared, if you want anything decent you are looking at £90 a corner

they had genuine ex mod wolf's there too and they weigh about the same as these, but most of their wolf stock is the tubed type and the look isnt suitable for my use.

they might be ok with big tubeless tyres on a landy but im not taking a chance with low profiles on my van.

late model defender rims with the original series look are available tubeless and allegedly in 6.5j, but ebay people want silly money for those. they are available new from Britpart for about 35 quid each which is probably where i'll get mine from.

Gavin wrote:right im deffo selling these, ive found out that the standard defender steeles that look identical apart from the width being 5.5" not 6.5" are available in tubeless, and the backset of the wheel is the same as the ones ive got, so it will just be a case of getting the fronts banded as well as the rears. not sure on the weight but they are thinner steel so will be lighter...

this may sound dump but cant you run these on a transit with a tube in them ??? or do they have to be tubeless ???
