There are also a couple of lorry accessory type places that have some bits that are more relevant to uk custom vanners. I mean like 10 different types of musical horn systems and there are links to hear the tunes. i'll fish them out tonight if i can - well worth a

We had them on our Mk1, but the pattern was taken off LT door mirror arms. I have to admit now that I have gone off them and for myself I don't think that they suit a panel van. IMHO

-Well, it's like this. Have a look at a picture of me black 6 wheeler, that's got said type mirrors. If you have arms like them that point straight out from the door, you have to lean back to look in the mirror, they also create quite a blind spot. Not only that, but if you buy shiny American mirrors, which they tend to be, they have flat glass in them, so you see slightly more than b*gger all behind. Fitted on a custom motor they look the part, but as far as being usefull goes, that word c*ap springs to mind.
The above is the personal opinion of an unqualified individual, said individual will take no responsability for actions taken by other individuals acting on the above personal opinions. Thank you.

Wow, long post for you Phil, hope you don't need a lie down now  . I had forgotten how little you can see out of the custom mirrors, but you used to (don't know if still) get spayfax mirror heads in chrome/polished ally, which we fitted and were better. I still have gone off them though.

Hey Luke et al
Here's some places you might find the odd thing or a  :
http://www.roadpro.co.uk http://www.truckstuff.co.uk http://www.airhorns.co.uk and I'm sure there was something at http://www.intastore.com when putting 'truckstuff" into their search engine but it seems to be unavailable at present.
