Rusty front wheel arches
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=26443
And the noise of the Di engine/injection pump
And boy is mine one of the noisiest there is
Well I've had enough
What made my mind up about doing something about it, was when I had a ride in my old 1996 van
Having spoken to various people about sound proofing, the word Dynamat (xtreme) kept on popping up
So guess what................
Dynamat xtreme was purchased and the attack has started
In fact, it started last year with the ceiling above the driver
I'm going through this sound deadening and making notes as I go along and will tell you all what parts of the van make a noticeable difference
Firstly the purchases

Here's a sheet of Dynamat against one of my wheels, so you get an idea of how large they are

With the A pillar trims sunvisors and courtesy lamp removed, it was an easy job getting the roof lining out of the cab area

Three sheets later, the ceiling is virtually completely covered
They went in the edges

For this stuff to be effective, it must be pressed firmly into the grooves

That's the hail stones, rain and the howling ladders quietened down
