last year a mechanic friend of mine whos a mobile mechanic had his van stolen right outside whre he was working, full of tools, the lot costing him not only lost revenue but also claiming off his insurance for the van plus tools and we all know what insurance folks are like!
apart from nearly ruining him and his business, he is still a mobile mechanic but hes now set out on a mission to keep all those with transit vans safe from the same fate he suffered by pouring money into a new project to stop transits from being driven off with something called a pedal lock, which in turn, does exactly what it says on the tin....it locks out the pedals from being used.
its taken him nearly a year to design and test to distruction using ex car theives to make sure its a reliable product and found that it needs some brute force to remove the lock, but also damages the pedals so it cant be used anyway!
fitting it takes 15 seconds!
this is not a sales gimic, just one transit van owner who dont want anyone to have to go though what he has.
