That's right, it didn't make that much difference and certainly not justified :!: :!: :!:

The floor, inner arches and doors, a big yes and in the engine compartment a big yes :!: :!:

Oh, nearly forgot :!: Can't hear the rain over the cab area either :!: 8)

Wow Andyg,
What an amazing thread, Haven`t sat down and read a book like that in years...very impressive.. How much weight do you think all the insulation will add to the van?
Not going to do mine, but seeing your dash out brought back memories of when I took mine out (when I bought it) to rectify the wiring loom from years of previous owners adding bits then removing them... wires going here, there and no where

Really impressive thread. Nice work

I keep mulling over this sort of thing and am currently in the middle of swapping engine and gearbox. So what I'm thinking is that I'm gonna completely empty and clean the engine bay and around the gearbox floorpan area . Then with the front end high up on axle stands, proceed to dynamat the whole engine bay and spray the cab underside with many coats of underseal/sound deadener until I run out of paint :D

So basically what I'm saying is that it's maybe more effevtive to attack it from the outside where the source of the noise is!

Nice work! But it would have been less time consuming and cheaper to buy ear plugs! :D
