yeah you were confusing me with the 22mm bit

what we'd need to know is the caliper offset too - and like aragon says you need the handbrake attacment on the caliper

why no copy mine vito disks and sierra calipers non vented tho

just e mailed caprisport see if any of their brackets will work you never know i understand that 1600 transit ran the famous atlas axle read this in one of the ford mags recently, could be another option haven't seen one since the mk2 was a daily driver back in the day

well - i do know the axle you have is no ware near the capri ones - ive got 2 capri atlas's and disk brake brackets for them and i had the same thought before i started mine - looking at them i didnt even need to try them on the transit one - miles different but i dunno about the transit 1600 one

caprisport couldn't help with the brackets so i'll have to borrow your design the caliper offset is going to have a big influence on the disc inset i guess looking at the information on the cd rom i can get scorpio rear calipers to suit both vented and non vented without the things infront of me how can i determine this measurement

well if you wanna go scorpio rear i happen to have a set and i can measure them - but a rough guess will say they are the same as sierra in which case i think the offset wasnt enough by about 30mm??

i have to ask but can you xplained to this ere idiot that when bolted to a plate fitted to the axle flange where will the centre of the caliper/pad gap be assuming the plate is one piece and flat does this make sense

as i mentioned i have measured 80mm from face to face and the caliper will be placed above disc and am i right out towards wheel so i will have a amount over that will give me a figure of the best offset without any bends in i can then brace this off axle tube

2wd cosworth and late scorpio have the same part no in trw info

look up vito rear and see what the cd says the offset is - the disk thickness is 10mm

then we can work it from that

luke the vito disc for all variants is 65 mm deep from face to face with a thickness at the flange end taken out and 5 mm half the friction part of the disc this will tell how mush more or less offset is required to line caliper up with axle face and keep bracket simple the only thought is that going for 22 mm discs and relavant calipers is the piston end the same thickness and the extra width carried across the bridge part of the caliper and likewise the disc i will check depth of scorpio disc and compare

scorpio rear dics are 10mm thick 33 mm deep solid 20mm thick 43 mm deep vented

scorpio disks could be made to fit - there not too far out

but......................... do you want scorpio disks your pcd isnt 112 - what disks do you nwant to use that are the same 20mm thick but suit your 108mm pcd

with cd rom i got i put 5x108 and it shows all the discs of that pcd you tell me the magic number to suit the calipers and i will find the nearest to that figure steve

havent got the measurments yet - my scorpio is with my van and it dont live with me i only get to see it at weekends
