right got it today the measurment to the mounting face of the granada scorp caliper to the back of the disk was 23mm

so - it the transit one is 80mm (did you say) from the back to the front then 80 - 23 =57mm thickness disk req'd :D

so whats 57mm then????

and 1 more thing i fogot about if you are redrilling less than 112 check that is isnt too small for the hub bearing :!:

if you need somewhere to upload that 350mb cd, then you can put it into my RapidShare account as i plan on keeping that for a while and then it will be available for download if needed.

i'm sort of offline at the moment (broke my main pc at the moment) only accessing from work or spare pc, but i have none of my usual files bookmarks or passwords at the moment, pm me if your interested and when i'm back online full time we'll sort something out

well to update this ive just fitted an inline regulator to the back brake line :D

very dissapointed  still locks the rears and now holds them on for a few seconds after you lift the pedal :x

i got it off ebay was only a cheep one well £40  but ive cut the lines, made a mounting bracket etc. looked a tidy job but not much good if it doesnt work

load apportioning valves are dreadfully unreliable, the symptoms you have now luke may not be a faulty regulator, more a symptom of the way it works, as an inline regulator cant vary the pressure, so while it locks when empty it maybe fine when loaded (kind of like the LDV syndrome :P )

i'm afraid the only method i know of that will work is an abs setup just for the rear wheels, because of the varying pressures required depending on load

Dunno if its any help, but the vented discs on Scorpios are on the Cosworth & Estate variants.
The Escort Cosworth is the same part too, callipers obviously all the same, prone to siezing the stupid handbrake
(excuse technical term) lever thingy.

Sorry about that last post only read up to page 8 before I butted in.
If you still have locking rears try harder pads (assuming you can get them !).
If you are determined to keep the discs what about twin master cylinders ,
split front/rear with a balance bar ?

luke have you seen the adjustable valve that fits in the pipe to the rear brakes allows you to regulate the pressure :?:
had one on my mk2, did the job

i just got an email back from the suppliers they say it shouldn't be like it is and ive got details of how its piped - just incase it was marked wrong and they will refund or replace it :D

as ive made a neat little bracket and altered all the pipework i'll get a replacement :D

and yes i'm determined to keep the rear disks  i wasnt too bothered about perfecting it as i'll proberbly be changing the whole axle over for a non transit lsd one later and i dunno yet what brakes that will have but i just wanted to stop the dangerous rear locking problem for the time being :D
