It's easier in a Mk2 LWB, the roof is completely smooth. We've had two sunrooves since 1987!

thats a bit extreme that one isnt it? i have a full bulkhead so i can only get a wee tilt one rather than a big sliding one

i was thinking of cutting the roof out of my granada ( the one i used fo the engine) and fitting the complete tilt and slide into the van 8)
but my mate talked me out of it :roll: :lol:

yeah - only did the roof last week :D
the roof isnt flat on mine cos its a swb so there would have been a bit of filling to do aswell :)

that would be the last thing i would do to a motor, if its not factory fitted forget it, it will leak and rot the motor :D

I have a Pug 405 with a working electric sliding sunroof. Whole car is going spare :wink: :)

a sliding one wouldnt work in a mk6 i wouldnt think as there is a big crossmember thing in the way. or i wouldve made you an offer

Well you press the button one way and it tilts up, by about 2". Pressing it the other way slides it open. So you'd be able to mod it so it only tilts, if it was worth the effort

ok so its just got a couple of rails it slides on? ive seen a few that have big plates and things on it and thought it wasnt worth the other.

My SWB has a sunroof in it as well, doesn't leak from the ribbing either 8)
