Which car? A Galaxy was a Ford the last time I looked ;)

The Alhambra, Sharan, and Galaxy are all made by VW in Portugal. I didn't know till I brought an Alhambra. They are all a bit of a Bitsa really because my Seat is a VW with a Ford Stereo system.

No they don't. :(
Current Transit: Mk8 tourneo Sport with go faster stripes.

Long time sold: Mk5 LWB 190, 2.5di banana SHR, 3 seats, SLD, Twin rear doors (rusted bottoms), manual locking & windows.

Its an option. Mine don't. Did think about getting some that do. Then realised it would make more sense to pay the loan on the car first :P

it's in my handbook as standard on all models, I've certainly never seen one with fixed seats, they look like they wont turn but they do - try this - adjust the position, the height and the seat back so the seat wont touch anything as it turns - lift the handle on the side nearest the door only (right hand drivers seat - left hand passengers seat) and turn the seat (clockwise for the drivers seat and anticlockwise for the passengers seat)

It is almost 20 to one in the morning. Its dark outside. No lights out there but I am going to go outside and try it.

Right. Firstly I don't have a handle on the door side. Secondly my manual says that it is the handle which is on the handbrake side that rotates it. But that is the handle that makes it go up and down. I looked at the manual and it says that the handle to make it go up and down is under the seat, which it isn't. I looked underneath and there is no sort of swivel base what so ever. Just a square frame with runners and stuff. The manual has got * next to the bits and that at the front says things aren't fitted to all models etc. I think mine must be a near to base model as it doesn't have swively seats and electric windows in the rear.

Oh and they were all screwed together in Portugal. Sharans, Alhambras and Galaxys.
