that van would pass an SVA like that (put it through as a disabled converted vehicle and that steering wheel and any thing else to do with the conversion is exempt from testing)Gunslinger wrote:nice steering wheel bolts, lucky some of these dont have to go for an SVA test ... they would laugh themselves to death

only if the govenment dont get their way, under the new proposals any vehicle that has any modifications that are not shown on the v5 IE trikes registered as reliants, kitcars that kept the original cars registration etc. will be flagged when they go for an MOT and will require an SVA to stay on the road. this could mean that a kit car that has been on the road for 30 years suddenly requires an SVA which it has no chance of passing, this could affect 1000's of vehicles including custom vansRobo-van wrote:madvanman wrote:that van would pass an SVA like that (put it through as a disabled converted vehicle and that steering wheel and any thing else to do with the conversion is exempt from testing)Gunslinger wrote:nice steering wheel bolts, lucky some of these dont have to go for an SVA test ... they would laugh themselves to death
Yeah, I've just looked into this and you're right.
I'm building a 2 L Pinto powered trike with foot controlled steering, and it doesn't have to have a SVA test.
