I dont know if this is helpful or not but my brother used to have a citroen XM (ya I know we do feel sorry for him) and handbrake is a fourth pedal with a release thing on the dash board perhaps you could get one and convert it.

Hi Woody
I think the 'yank tank' option would be a good bet for you, because you press & hold the pedal to lock the brake and stamp on it for off. THIS MAY seem a bit 'non sequitur' but check with Fords for the 'hill-holder'
I seem to remember they do a fitment for the Transit (1st fitted on early '50's Studebakers) MAY BE just what we are calling a yank 'handbrake' maybe not. I believe the idea was you pressed on it to engage the handbrake but it released itself once you (tried) to start moving (but that maybe only 'forward-uphill' !)
Also going back maybe 6/9 months someone on here was breaking a converted Transit, with electric handbrake & electric side door gear. I'll try find it !

Hi Woody
I fitted a second hand electric handbrake from
a jaguar x type & used a window switch to
operate it but you might be better useing
the jag switch, it worked a treat for me good
luck.
i just connected the cable to the handbrake rod.
