OKay, i got the donor ambulance today, its a G Reg 1989 with a 3.0 carburettor engine fitted and not the EFi as i thought it was.

Is this the Essex engine ? If so what BHP & Torque do they have ?

Cheers Guy's :D

Dunno about the BHP but the gearstick hole will need top be moved as the essex uses a different box.

The donor gearbox is a 4 speed with overdrive but im not fussed on that setup so i would prefer to use a 5 speed or an auto but i know the auto gearstick would need modifying allot.

Can i use my current gearbox ??

Any ideas on the ratio's ?

I currently run approx 4,000 rpm at 70 mph

Any idea what the overdrive would do at 70 mph ?
