Thanks Colly. I get the most pleasure from recycling existing used and/or refurbished items . especially when I'm the first to do it. Just bought some RangeRover 16" Dia wheels on ebay to try to convert for my van. they take 255x65x16 tyres that are almost the same diameter as Tranny 225x70x15's. cheers Geoff.

Well I've just purchaced a third set of alloys, 16 inch 5 spoke land rover wheels,
the PCD on my six stud wheels was too big for both of my other sets . I'm hoping I won't need adapter plates.
so if anyone is looking, I've got 4....8x15 Pajero 5 stud pepperpot split rims.
and 4....8x16 RangeRover 5 stud 3 spoke alloys. offers Invited

cheers Geoff

So are you going to redrill the landy wellers to 6 stud or swap axles?

Im about to redrill 5 stud hubs and axle to landy PCD and try to sell it to guage interest

Hi Matt.
They're not wellers, they're alloys,
After investigating putting 5 stud Landrover wheels on a six stud axle, I've realised that although the PCD 's are the same , going from six studs to five stud without spacers, is possible, but not easy, and I like easy. more to come, but not yet :?
I've an interior to sort out before the Bluegrass Festival season starts.
Nip did a wonderful job fitting my TDI engine and a pair of side windows . (Great job Nip , thanks ) pics soon.

Could you not fit a twin wheeled axle and wide fit banded wheels on the rears instead of twins? That would project out about 3" either side and keep the thinner wheels, or slightly banded on the front? I think you can do that if its not a class 7????...Was a bloke on Ebay selling over wide tyres with an aspect ratio to fit a 15" wheel.

The PCD is not the same...

Landy is 5 x 165mm (16mm studs)

6 stud pre '91 is 6 x 170 (16mm studs)
6 stud '91-'00 is 6 x 180 (16mm studs)
5 stud 5 x 160 (12mm studs)

hello, i have a set of adaptor plates and antera 17 inch wheels that i bought of a firm in 1996 when i bought a brand new lwb transit, i cant remember the firms name ill have to try and find the bill, but i have four adaptor plates that fit any 5 stud transit which will take any 4 stud alloys, i gave over 2 k for the wheels and adaptors new, ill sell the lot as they have been sitting in my work shop unused for 10 years, and the reason i took them off is i buckled one of the wheels, could be straightned,(there are no tires), but they have only covered about 1000 miles, and have all the wheel bolts let me know if any ones interested,,open to any offers, and im not looking for stupid money just a reasonable offer, can post to any where on the uk mainland, mike
