Yep, my clutch looks to have same dimensions as yours, albeit slightly different cover and friction material looks.... but the dia are pretty close...

... yes, the cover is way too big for the flywheel that i have been sold... the mounting holes on the flywheel are approx 275mm opposite each other...

i think i have been ripped off, this is not a 2.9 flywheel...

what haoppened to the flywheel off the emgine in the photo?

prievious owner used it for a auto to manual conversion in a 1970's vauxhall with a ford 2.9i fitted

well it seems that the clutch part of the equation is right, but some how the flywheel is too small.... unless like you mentioned the flywheel friction area is bigger than the ring gear in some way ....?

looking at the startermotor on the transit 2.9i, it is mounted on a separate plate that moves it away from the gearbox by about 5mm so it may be a flywheel with the ring gear mouted on the front not on the outter edge

no i dont, but i think im going to have a more difficult job than i first thought, finding a flywheel for this engine

dipstick - when do you want this info are you prepaired to wait a while
ive got a 2.9i transit and i'll be removing the engine and splitting it from the box- but not for a few weeks mabe and i can take any measurments you need

if your really desperate you can come round and do it for me

Luke when you split your engine and box it would be interesting to see if ford made a custom flywheel to take the standard Di gearbox or whether they made a different input shaft for the box
