Hi..New to the site, having just bought my first tranny ! Ive got a swb 2000 Mk 5... which i,ve strated to make my mark on. Was originally an ex Scunthorpe council van ! in lovely BT grey..but with only 49000 on the clock and an LPG conversion..its so far been a good buy...7 weeks later and 62000 on the clock ( yep..i,m a courier )..its now 2 tone grey ( gunmetal on the bottom half and light grey above) with clear lense indicators at the front, clear side indicators and blue xenon bulbs...cant you just tell i was a 70s kid with a poster of a custom tranny on the bedroom wall !! Anyway, talking of wheels...i really want to put a set of either chrome or grey modular wheels on the van..the kind you normally see on Land rover defenders...u know..a row of circular holes around the wheel..but have tried all the places i used to get my 4x4 bits from, only to be told that the wheel fitments all wrong..so now i see i can get 8 spoke weller styles ? Are these a standard fitting? Like the site so far..i,ll get some pics posted.Cheers for now

5 Stud Transits are 160 PCD, and as far as we can tell up to now its only Transits and vehicles using Transit running gear that have it, Weller Wheels seem to be pretty rare now so dont expect to find them in a hurry!

its what they calling it now the company doin it is the wheel doctor in scunthorpe,not sure of their details as i use a m8 who knows them to drop of stuff.

whats the difference in shadow chroming and normal chroming then

Shadow chroming gives like a smoked effect, dont know how they do it

I want a brilliant chrome finish like they were originally anyway, I cant get mine done yet, lack of funds and the fact I havent any replacement wheels while they are off

Bagley's, Baddaley, I knew it was something like that, my old man uses them all the time, there's also Carlisle Bros on acton rd in Long Eaton, but not sure if they do chrome.....

Like the sound of shadow chroming.I guess you got to worry about coming out to your van up on bricks minus your new rims once you've fitted them on... Wonder if you can get locking wheel nuts Transit size...
