No I bought it with the intention of doing it myself but finished up taking to Conrad Anderson in Birmingham, where I bought the 'kit' and having them do it. It was the 1st Mk6 they had done so their instructions were wrong (hence my problem) but they fitted it in an afternoon. All in kit & fitting came to about £400. but that was when the van was new in late '03. I subsequently found out that CA are not the cheapest by far :( .

You only get what you pay for!!
Conrad Anderson are not that much more expensive (£20-£30 over other suppliers for the same system which was the AP550 with a 2 year warranty) but they do know the product and are very helpfull when choosing a product.
They fitted cruise to my van and i cannot fault them.

And now for something completely different ( O.K. I lied :) )
Image
Put marker lights in the front bumper, haven't got rounbd to doing any of the others yet !
Image
Double step & double sockets the 'grey' only has a permanent feed (for a fridge) and a feed from the split charger to top up the battery in the yellow trailer. Was thinking about a selector switch so I can direct the split charge supply to whichever of the 3 batteries I want it to go to.
Image
Odds & ends bin on o/side rear door (spare number plates usually go in with the 'triangle' too), winch handle ,2 x 24 mil combination spanners to move the towball up/down, and the ever usefull hammer.
Image
Side door has an 'electric wheel nut wrench ' and a plastic mirror (the sort of thing they put on bedroom ceilings [I am assured :D ])
Image
Coin & crap tray also from a Scorpio, just screwed to the drivers side footwell/arch.
Image
Torch hung by a plumbing clip, on the side of the drivers seat....
Image
A wind deflector ( one each side.) still not sure if these are worth the effort, but you can get fresh air when its raining ( without getting wet :) )
I think thats about it.
I got a little black book with me poems in

its all wired up properly now, to begin with i just roughed it out! but on the advice of forum members its all been fused/relayed etc, and in proper wiring looms hidden from view...

to be honest my brother does most of the electrical work, as its his job and we both still stay with the grand old parents on the middle of nowhere, so not much more to do than pimp my ride! 8)

how high up have you put the light on the side door and have you used the 3 pin contacts to carry the fed to the marker.

you have put a marker on the sliding door?

Hey Terry, what was the procedure for fitting the Scorpio light? was there any modding to the roof or was it just a case of trimming the lining? any electrical alterations?

i just kept them down 200mm from a line on the body so they are straight, on the sliding door there is a cable with a spring think on it so it doesnt catch on door.

Re your P.M.
I don't think the email 'shows' the photo so I have put it here just in case.
