i would pay attention to the hinge mounting points, or more aptly, look to some slightly older vans and you will see that ford never did get that area right when it came to strengthening, on mk2's even the check-strap fittings bend the pillar over time, the hinge mountings are seriously under supported on mk2's in my oppinion
