not sure mate but you can fit an inline pump to a swirl pot cheap enough the only thing about keeping the granada pump/sender unit it you can fit all the toys like cruise control and the trip computer but if your gonna fit a different pump you'd not get those so you might aswell do swirl pot route as oxtonyox's done with his

his prices must have gone up cos i didnt pay anything like £400 for my tank well i dont think i did

Right changed my mind again I have decided to keep my manual box in now to save all the faffing around with the fuel tank so i won't be keeping the cruise control or the computer. So does anyone have a simple drawing of how the swirl pot is fitted and where's the best place to get a nice chrome one from

keeping the manual box you'll need the adapter plate and then you'll have a problem with the exhaust manifolds catching it

the swirl pot is basically this



pump 1 is a low pressure high volume and pump 2 is the high pressure pump the same as you hav in the granada tank

where's the pump on a mk4 petrol tank on my mk3 v6 it was on the side of the tank but the tank was metal and too rotton to use

plastic tank, fuel pump is in the top, its a complete unit with the sender and the fuel lines like most petrol cars...

i'd imagine that'll be fine - it will at least run it and if you did get any problems you'd be able to sort it later if you wanted to be certain just cross check the fuel pressure it makes against what the granada one does

thinking about it, its probably the same bayonett type fitting that ford use in all their cars, i could probably drop the granny pump straight in the tranny tank....

proberbly is then again its proberbly the same pump

If you not using the cruise you could do a Hybrid pump like I did, keeps the Tranny guage right and uses the Cossy pump.
