just read - not strong enough :? odd one :?

i know that my svo one was the same as the granada but the pinion had 1 tooth different - mabe it was 1 less to gear it up a bit :idea: i think it was 9 tooth :? how many is yours :?:

10 teeth on the starter, its a pinto starter, I got it when I bought the adaptor,flywheel,they all came off a pinto transit. Im told that the v6 starter wont do as it has 11 teeth.

i wonder if the starter isnt meshing with the flywheel correctly - too far in or something :?

i'd have thought thats more chance of being the problem :!: :D

is the clutch dragging?

Engine mounts done
Downpipes removed -due to catching on front cross member
Oil in gearbox
Gear lever fitted

got the starter back today, so will fit it tomoz! Also got my new fuel line,8mm insulated copper pipe,going to run it inside the cab and though the bulk head,

Also trail fitted rad and fan, but fan was touching the engine pulleys so going to remount the fan to the front of the rad! ,

making good progress 8)

personally i wouldnt run fuel lines inside the cab - last thing you want in an accident is a split line pumping fuel inside the cab :shock:

Which way would you run the fuel lines ? The original lines run to close to the exhaust for my liking!

i see your point i ran mine tied up to the floor and over the exhaust - mine had enough air space but you could get a heat insulation to put over them if its close - i'd still rather go that way than inside the cab - not sure but it might be an MOT fail :? it's not allowed in racing :)
