I do think that I gave you the wrong clutch cover, another I tried here this morning seems to have fingers raised more than the dims you have taken.
Your flywheel does appear the same as one I have here, using it to do a 'dry run', the clutch splines are ok, the center plate hardly moves during dissengagement.
Moving the 'ball' pivot for the release arm forward will do the job and move the cable end of the clutch arm backwards away from the bell housing, the clutch arms without the cast 'lump' do give more movement as they are not as bulky at the cable end. I am sure this is the type we had on Robbies.
