mig welder from one side 10mm hole in the wing, weld to the plate - there must be a name for it but im not sure - i just call it spot welding

ahh got it just how id do it, i thought you had a big 3 phase spot welder with long arms to reach around chassie or whatever, fella who taught me many moons ago called it plug welding

not had a chance too read the whole thread yet, got loads to catch up on here

bit more progress today - had a think about this and as im only mounting the crossmember on the back bolts the fronts aslo clamp the outriggers to the c/member - there is also 2 M8 torx bolts but thats not really enough - so i welded a captive 12mm nut on the top of the front hole of the c/member and from underneith i can used the origanal hole to get a bolt through! i aslo made 2 washers 38mm dia for a bit better support. i think this is quite important, its not going to break without it but it could flex between the 2 wishbone mounting points - not good!

Springs - i also cut half a link of 2 springs ive got they are ex minibus ones so im not sure if they will be too soft but at least it will give me an idea on the ride height!

at the top it sits in a rubber mount thats flat so that can rotate to allow it
