Is your new engine a 12v :?

For the 24v you need

Engine
Loom
ECU
adaptor plate
Engine mounts
flywheel the correct size (or redrill pinto one)

I am doing a 24v cosworth at the moment.

If you are using a Type 9 or an auto its easier 8)

Guy's 24v

Postby dipstick » Sun Nov 19, 2006 11:30 am

... :) How is yours coming along Guy...?

A word of caution, though i hope you don't need it... :)

i removed the fuel rail on my BOB 24v to get then injectors out to clean them.....nightmare.....they are 'welded' into the rail, due to the heat and varnish in the fuel, the O rings have locked sold.....

A week of penetrating spray both 'ends' and eventually they came out, by holding the head of the injectors in a vice and twisting off the rail, but i broke one injector! :(

needless to say they are unobtainable from anyone new , so i had to beg on the FORDPOWER-UK site..... keep your eyes out.....

good luck

.....if you want a manual box, you will need the adapter plate for a V6 to MT75, or use a 'car' MT75 and reversed linkage.....

:-) cheers

On the car box the gearstick is behind the box and on the van box it is on top.

Also, NO NEED TO SHOUT.

When you say Mk3 ambulance you mean a later one as the early ones were Essex engined and would have had the 4 speed overdrive box.
