6x9 and sub speaker box

Was thinking of making a speaker box for my van to go in the back to hold a 12" sub in the middle of it and a pair of 6x9 speakers and screw the amp to the side. What thickness MDF would be the best to go for would it work having a sub and 6x9s in the same box?

Also can i run the 6x9 speakers and a sub off the same amp would the sub and 6x9 wires go in same port on amp?

I would go for 18mm.

And i wouldnt advise putting the speakers in the same box. you would blow the speakers in no time. would be too much air pressure 6x9s dont need a box. cant you mount them in the sides panels of the van?

Oh and it all depends what amp you have as to wether you can run them in tri mode. there are amps that do that but i think from memory you need a seperate crossover to eliminate the highs going to the sub.

as above same box is no good, and unless its a decent amp i would avoid mounting it to the box, the vibrations thru the MDF can cause the circuits in the amp to break up

ideally you need a mono amp for the sub and a separate stereo amp for the 6x9's, a lot of headunits have a Mono SUB out and a stereo out for speakers
