I have just looked at the first posting on this
part of the forum, it has been less than a month
since i first started this thread & i can now drive
her again i just can't believe it, it's incredible
how from conception to delivery in so short a time.
I must admit i have been thinking about it for
about five years now,
Have lost a lot of sleep as to the why's & wherefors.
Maybe i can sleep tonight now that it's finished or
maybe i won't untill the roadtest is completed.
keep you posted C.E.

Mealic
nothing going on apart from taking my camper
to newlands corner for a road test of the new
front brakes.
hoping to meet some Transit people there for
long chats about their chariots of fire.

Luke will hopefully be there about nine o'clock
as the cafi doesn't open till then look forward
to meeting lots of Transit lovers there.

Hi Transiteers
I have been for a short roadtest of the new brake
convertion alas the pads have not completly bedded
in due to taking it out at rush hour but could not
wait a moment longer.
The camper drove absolutly like a dream,
Will check the wheel nuts & wheel bearing in case
either have setteled in just in case, better safe than
sorry.
Looking forward to saturday morning hope to meet
some of you at Newlands corner.
Happy Transiteering.

Hi Transiteers
Have road tested the camper the brakes &
tyres & wheels passed the initial test but
there is a slight tendency to pull to the left
so am going to fit new calipers as the ones
i fitted were probably the original 1985 ones
from the xjs i got them off of even though
i fitted new pads & discs.
Will keep you updated as things progress.
Happy Transiteering.

Hi there transit extraudinair, you may have saved my day :) i was thinking of using jag hubs, as I want to fit bmw discs, have you got any pictures of the hub from the side or do you know how thick the flange is as the bmw discs go over the flange and sit behind the wheel, as I'll have to skim the front face so the disc sits flat, and do you know the length of the hub itself? also just to confirm the pcd is 5x120? Great conversion by the way, Thank you for any help, :)
