Banded Steels

Postby monkeynut » Mon Jul 01, 2013 12:56 pm

Hi Guys,

i have had a look on the sit and there is loads on here about banded wheels, but couldn't really find any info on who has been used to carry out the banding rather than a local engineering company etc.

so can anyone recommend a good company to get a set of mk7 transit wheels banded. ideally would like them to be in the south, so i can go and see the company, but if i can get a good recommendation then i can always send them.

Any Help appreciated.

thanks

Adam

Banded steels.com. Alonzo customs. And theres a couple off geezas on the Retro Rides forum who do them.
Never dealt with any of them but have read good things.
Just make sure they dont put any filler in them other than steel lol

I would imagine the wheel is on a turntable or similar and the mig gun held in a jig to give a robotic finish.

Very much doubt it'd be done freehand. Nice welds.
