When you say mk5 do you mean 2000 onwards?

i do believe the 2000 onwards called mk6 (unless your fred then its a mk4 :? ) has 14mm studs otherwise the same as mk12345s :D
you could probly get wheels designed for earlier transits and drill them out to fit - but dont quote me on that!!

and i suppose the correct size 4x4 tyres would fit on too - but i would unsure as to how it would drive!!! :?

Alloys

Postby Terry » Mon Dec 05, 2005 10:26 pm

I don't think the drilling out will work, if you look very carefully, most alloys have a steel 'top hat' that the wheel nuts tighten onto
(how much wheel nut tightening would an aluminium /alloy take ?)
I got a little black book with me poems in

Looking at them I would say no! The PCD looks far to small.

Cheers guys what a pity though.

the explorer wheels would by design be more suitable to the transits use. Oh well they aint broke so i'm saving some pennies by not fixing em :D

Are these the kind of thing your looking for?

http://www.formula4x4.com/steelwheelsa.htm

These aren't sold in the MK 6's 5x160 PCD ET45 fitment size, but i emailed the supplier last week to ask if thay can be manufactured. Im still awaiting a response.....

------------

Compomotive will make these wheels to fit a MK 6 with an 850KG rating per wheel in 16" guise.

Sexy or what? :)

I was quoted £579.37 for a set of 4 including carriage and VAT. Of course you then need to add a set of tires so youll be approaching £900 but for a slice of individuality, theyre awesome!
