Time to repower

Postby Sundowner » Tue Sep 20, 2005 10:11 am

Been thinking of what to do to the 4.1 6cyl in my van to get some more HP
as it stands its got 114hp @ 3900 rpm and 200ftlb @ 1800

Now i was thinking of fitting a supercharger from a toyota this would give me a 30% increase for around $1000

BUT i changed my mind and went for a 1993 4.0 OHC EFI 6cyl and 5 speed box
This engine makes 206hp and 258 ftlb and will bolt up to the original mounts
and no sump mods are needed, once the engine is fitted im going to supercharge it

Will keep all informed of my progress
Here are some pics of old and new

Nah p/s is b/s and i dont need it, I have power arms

The donor car is a ford falcon it has rack and pinion steering and would be a right pain to fit

But i am thinking of fitting the anti-lock braking system
