fitting rear speakers in LWB transit

Postby lorien black » Fri Sep 22, 2017 5:46 pm

Ive got a 2011 lwb high roof transit, and I would like to installsome speakers in the back.

option 1 - find the right wires and extend from the front speakers?
option2 - buy an amp and install a little bit more muscle, maybe even a sub.

Not quite sure where to start, but am technically able to manage running wires, soldering etc

Anybody out there able to give some suggestions or throw me a useful link.

The goal is twofold. 1 upgrade the overall sound for when im on the road. 2 have music in the back when im working there/sleepinf there(semi camper conversion.

many thanks for any ideas

All new radio’s have 2sets of connections, front L/R and rear L/R. Connect the front speakers to the front connections. The rear speakers dan be connected to the rear connections on the radio.
Or find a amp that can be connected to te 4 wires, rear L/R of the radio.
Or search for a radio with a chinch pre-AMP out and connect the rear speakers to the AMP.
Little advice....to connect the sub, please use a single(mono) AMP to power it.
