Adding a amp and sub

Postby dannywright811 » Wed Jun 10, 2020 9:11 pm

Hi,

I want to fit an amp and sub bit want to keep the factory fitted head unit.

Is there a wiring loom that will fit the head unit and allow me to do this?

TIA

Danny

You can try using a line output converter that will allow you to tap into your speaker wiring for audio signal.

LOCs are meant to convert speaker-level output signals into an RCA preamp-level signal. This means your factory radio will now have RCA output.

I think I might have one lying around, it’s new and still in packet, like jay says, it plugs into or well wires into the existing loom to give you rca output..if your head unit is only running the two door speakers then wire it direct to the plug as the head unit should have four speaker out put, just make sure you can change the settings on the head unit for deeper sound on the rear as you will be running a sub and they require lower frequencies than what standard speakers will run..
