Custom -The load through bulkhead flap

Hi

I thinking of buying a new Transit Custom 280 170ps Limited, single cab.
I would like some airflow between the cab and cargo area, but wish to retain the bulkhead.
1. Is it possible to just flip up the load through panel but still have someone sat in the cab passenger seat?
If not
2. Can this flip up panel be removed easily or adjusted to flip towards the rear?
I do not fancy fully removing the bulkhead, or cutting some of it out like you would do if fitting a window.
