Any interior pics of sparkies vans?

Postby kawasaki_kev » Tue Jan 29, 2008 12:14 am

I'm due to get a new mk7 soon and will be kitting it out for electrical installation and reapir work and wondered if any other electricians could post some pics of how they have racked out the inside. I will be using blockboard for the shelving and will likely mount my largest steps from the roof along with something to hold flourescent tubes. My last van was a Vito with 2 side loading doors so shelving basically was fitted each side wheras the Transit will only have a left hand door which makes me think smaller shelves rear offside for holding boxes of fittings and maybe tilted shelving nearer the front for the tools with maybe a cupboard above for 2d tubes, fans etc. and a bin on the nearside for cable. Anybody have any ideas they reckon was really worthwhile doing or if they were doing it again would do it differently? Pics would be fine if anybody has any or time to take lol. Cheers, Kev.

Yeah looks very tidy! I'd say the shelves on the vito were much closer together so I had a bit more crammed in them (in comparison) but that meant I couldn't see at a glange so easy exactly what I had, of course the floor was a lot more covered with cable and stuff and I had a couple o storage boxes on the floor too. I found some short cuttings of drainpipe made good silicone gun holders and I'll fit 3 next time so I dont have to change tubes every time. Thanks Luke.

I'm not an electrician, but do double glazing. I'm finishing the racking inside my LWB hi-roof. I'll put pictures up in a bit.

I saw the pics on the link above and got wondering...do the bits and pieces in the blue bins not 'jump out' when going over speed humps etc?
