REAR DISC CONVERSION

one for you luke i have a brand new transit van in my care at the moment twin wheel with a fridge on the back and surprise surprise its got rear discs now the question is can these be fitted on my swb mk5 with the same style rear hubs and bearing a late 5 stud axle would fit ?

yeah ive seen the later mk7s with rear disks but no a close enough look to see if they would fit easy - the one ive seen wasnt the same style axle as the mk5 so it wouldn't go easy

i agree its a much heavier axle casing but still on leaf springs rear uj similar so prop shouldn't be a problem the major problem would be the casing converting it to single rear wheel not sure how different the casing might be check with the local dealer who i worked for and will post pics soon

instead of converting would an axle swap work? as there must be some of these getting stripped

picked up 57plate t350 140 single wheel 5 stud disc fitted as standard any one know if and how much wider this axle is compared to the mk4 on my bus ??
